Frequently Asked Question

The course focuses on Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Parvati and Suryanarayana because Shikshapatri, Shloka 84, specifically identifies these five deities as worthy of reverence and worship.
विष्णुः शिवो गणपतिः पार्वती च दिवाकरः ।

The course focuses on chanting with correct pronunciation, rhythm and meaning, helping you understand the significance of each Stotra and deity.

Chanting a Stotra involves learning its correct pronunciation, rhythm and recitation while understanding its meaning. Reading only the translation gives you the general meaning, but chanting with understanding allows you to experience the Sanskrit text more deeply and appreciate its devotional expression, structure and nuances.

Stotra chanting is more than simply reading a translated text. Learning to chant with correct pronunciation, rhythm and understanding helps develop Sanskrit pronunciation, memory, concentration and fluency, while allowing one to appreciate the भाव, structure and devotional expression of the original Sanskrit. It transforms the Stotra from something we merely read into something we can meaningfully recite, understand and experience.
